Rebeca Figuieras Barreto is a skilled stylist and entrepreneur with an award winning history that supersedes her reputation as “Ms. Quinceañera” here in Miami, Florida. Prior to founding Rebecca’s Personal Touch Salon & Spa and way before her over 25 years of experience in the industry, Mrs. Barreto was a role model and award winner in Cuba’s famous beauty pageants where she represented her university, a fascinating history that was featured in the Miami Herald and again on Univision’s Channel 23 when she opened her second salon in Miami. She then set out to begin her success in the beauty industry in Costa Rica where she placed first in cut & style as well as perm competitions. Here in Miami her career began with a focus on special events targeting brides specifically, a beginning that set the foundation for her now sought after expertise in the area of quinceañeras & brides. Mrs. Barreto has been selected to be a member of the jury in the Miss Quinceañera Latina 2009 and a guest speaker in the “Viviencias de una Princesa” where she was recognized for her accomplishments. She has been asked to author articles on motivational and beauty insider topics targeting teenagers, quinceañeras and brides in Anmar Party Magazine and Fiestas The Magazine.

As the manager and senior stylist at Rebecca’s Personal Touch Salon & Spa she ensures her skills and her staff’s skills are up-to-date and continuously improving. Rebeca is a member of the “Pivot Point del Caribe” through which she has been to multiple symposiums held in Miami, Columbia, Puerto Rico, Santo Domingo and Aruba. She has hosted events and trainings in her salon, and recently won first place in color & highlights at the Napura competition in Miami.

In addition, Rebecca has maintained an active role in the community and encouraged her clients to do the same. She received an aware of recognition and appreciation from the mayor of Hialeah for her contribution to the Hair-Cut-A-Thon at Bucky Dent Park early on in her career in Florida. Since then she has maintained a long history of philanthropic events including fundraisers for the Muscular Dystrophy Association and active participation in HopeCuts. HopeCuts is the largest beauty industry fundraiser in the United States. On one day stylists all over the East Coast join the efforts of City of Hope, one of only 40 National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Centers nationwide to raise money to fight cancer and HIV/AIDS. And finally many of Rebecca’s clients have followed in these good efforts and regularly schedule their hair cuts with a good deed in mind as Rebecca is a proud supporter of Locks of Love and will help her clients donate their ponytail. Locks of Love is a public non-profit organization that provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children in the United States and Canada who suffer from long-term medical hair loss.
